Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Develop, implement and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals). Supervise a team of quality control inspectors. Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate customer issues and complaints relating to quality. Develop and analyse statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products. Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order) 

• Know and understand Weatherford's Enterprise Excellence Program and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
• Participate in the establishment of quality specification and standards for raw materials, in process and finished products.
• Confer with management, customers and other representative in planning, scheduling and coordinating the quality plans in conformance with customer requirements, engineering specifications and production schedules.
• Assist in the development of inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans or process control procedures that will ensure the production of finished products which met quality specifications and standards.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
• Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
• Assist in the investigation of product defects and failures and recommend modification in products, processes or quality standards where such appear to be warranted.
• Supervise and perform inspection and testing of raw materials, processes and finished products.
• Visit customers and suppliers, when necessary, to confer on specific quality problems. Liaison with customers on items of product quality or reliability.
• Training other Inspectors on processes as needed.
• Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Requirements

• Must possess good communication, time management, planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and communicate effective presentations is required.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with customer, regulatory agencies, management, suppliers, subcontractors and employees at all levels of the organisation.
• Advanced computer skills, including office platforms.
• Minimum of 10 years Oil & Gas industry experience.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and industry experience (minimum stated above).
• Extensive (7 years) Quality Systems knowledge/experience, or 3 years experience with professional certification.
• Experience operating within and a working knowledge of ISO and other regulatory organizations that Weatherford subscribe to.
• IMS auditor.TapRoot trained (2 or 5 day).
• The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
