Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose:
Prepare bills of quantity and verify the quantity of jobs covering all measurement and commercial matters of Scaffolding, Insulation, Painting, and Civil Services for the Maintenance department.

Key Job Accountabilities:
1. Conduct site visits and verify the quantity of jobs completed for Scaffolding, Painting, Insulation and Civil Services with respect to the respective invoice/s submitted by the Contractors as per established contract terms and conditions.
2. Prepare bill of quantity, progress reports, tracking and coordinate with contractors as per the instructions from the Supervisor.
3. Collect official price revision indexes, as specified in the contract.
4. Prepare monthly valuations together with the necessary documentation and approvals.
5. Keep track of additional work and ensure the same is identified & billed, and provide advice on contractual claim.
6. Coordinate with the site contract supervisors to maintain complete and up-to-date records of plant, materials, and manpower used.
7. Ensure that financial and contractual provisions of assigned contracts are interpreted and implemented correctly to protect the Company's financial interests. Examine monthly payment proposals/invoices, and related payment certificates and variation orders as applicable, to ensure conformity with contract's terms and conditions. Distribute costs to appropriate charge accounts, where applicable.
8. Review tender invitation documents and preparation of maintenance contracts, providing cost data and preparing status of contracts.
9. Responsible for providing sound and reliable cost estimates for maintenance contracts, participating in the preparation of maintenance documentation and for accurately monitoring and reporting on costs.
10. Prepare contract close out and final accounts, includes final re-measurement of quantities (as applicable) using physical measurements or on the basis of "as built" drawings.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) or equivalent from an accredited University.
• Minimum 6 years’ of work experience as a Quantity Surveyor preferably in Scaffolding, Insulation, Painting and Civil Services within Oil & Gas industries.
• Experience in Scaffolding, Insulation, Painting and Civil Services Maintenance.
• Knowledge of SAP system
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Requires organizational, planning and coordination skills
• Strong negotiation skills
