Company:
Our Client is a well-regarded International Construction Consultancy who are engaged in a variety of landmark projects throughout the Middle East, Europe, South America and Asia. Due to an influx of work they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to be based in their Qatar office but with availability to travel to other GCC countries for short secondments and work delivery.

Position:
We are looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor from a Tier 1 Main Contractor background who is commercially astute and interested in pursuing a career in the Middle East.

You will need strong communication skills, along with excellent analytical, problem solving, planning and contract administration skills. Your duties will include reviewing of records and time impact analyses to establish and report on validity of claim proposals, the development of claim narratives in coordination with site base teams and negotiation of claims with the employer teams.

Mandatory:
• Fluent in English
• Stable experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 Main Contractor, with experience involved in the delivery of contract management and claims support / advice.
• Degree qualified, ideally in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• FIDIC contract experience
• Previous experience in the Middle East is not required, although it would be advantageous.

Preferred:
• Claims experience
• Quantity Surveying degree
• MRICS or looking to achieve Chartership
