Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Plans and conducts engineering research and development projects of major significance for reliability and availability.
- Performs and resolves difficult root cause failure analysis to prevent future failures.
- Gathers and examines basis reliability data from field studies or data base, and correlates the date for analysis using well defined engineering techniques/principals/procedures.
- Works out cost impact of recommended action plans for avoiding/correcting reliability problems during the design phase or on installed equipment.
- Performs detailed/routine engineering calculations involving relatively simple tests on less complicated system details where ingenuity and high level of judgement is not required.
- Initiates elemental engineering studies into equipment/process failures and presents details of the analysis to more experienced engineers or experts for approval/feedback for gaining in-depth experience and improving judgment for advancing to higher level jobs.
- Complies with company guidance in the use of standard procedures for use of reliability analysis specific to the product/process and follow company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
- The job holder is accountable to develop analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment and processes and take necessary steps like acquiring &analyzing data, preparing diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports for defining reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements to ensure reliability and availability.
- Reviews and approves RAM Plans & Procedures & Reports.

Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse system engineering issues in accordance with ENSO126 to ENSO 129
- Extensive knowledge of risk, safety, accreditation & legislation and its implications on the company.
- High level of conceptualize, analytical and problem solving skills an project management.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to harmonize between priorities and organize work effectively to meet deadlines.
- Confidence, patience and tact. Attention to detail and compliance
- High level of interpersonal and written communication skills.
