Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Plan, conduct, and direct engineering research and development projects of major significance.
- Resolves difficult root cause failure analysis to prevent future failures.
- Gather and examine basic reliability data from field studies or data base, and correlates the data for analysis using well defined engineering techniques/principles/procedures.
- Consider impact of costs on recommended action plans for avoiding/correcting problems during the design phase or remedial action for correcting reliability problems on installed equipment; and performs root cause failure analysis to help prevent failures.
- Perform detailed/routine engineering calculations involving relatively simple tests on less complicated system details where ingenuity and high level of judgement is not required.
- Initiate elemental engineering studies into equipment/process failures and presents details of the analysis to more experienced engineers for approval/feedback for gaining in-depth experience and improving judgement for advancing to higher level jobs.
- Assist others in root cause failures analysis to avoid future failures.
- Comply with company guidance in the use of standard procedures for use reliability analysis specific to the product/process.
- Follow company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
- Benchmark and opposition RAM targets for QR projects.
- Liaise with operations to provide integrated approach to RAM targets
- Manager delivery of FRACAS information for Fault Analysis.
