Recruitment Specialist (Temporary, Non-sponsored)

Job description / Role

A member of the Human Resources Department, the Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for coordinating activities in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, community relations and new employee orientation. The position will provide excellent customer service for both candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

As this position is based in Doha, Qatar and offers no relocation assistance, GU-Q is looking for locally-based candidates only. This is a temporary, non-sponsored position that requires all applicants to already have the necessary documents to live and work in Qatar.

Duties:
- Provide full-cycle recruitment support for staff positions, including advertising, sourcing, interviewing and offers of employment
- Advise hiring managers and committees on the recruitment process
- Coordinate onboarding of new employees
- Coordinate a variety of activities related to New Employee Orientation
- Assist new and current employees with school placement for their dependent children
- Provide support for employees’ spouses seeking employment, including assisting with resume/cover letter development and interview coaching, providing access to employment- related networking opportunities across Education City and in the wider Doha community
- Draft, edit and distribute weekly HR Newsletter
- Other similar duties as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and qualifications
- 3+ years of talent acquisition experience preferably in a Human Resources Department of a multinational organization or an accredited institution of higher education recruiting a variety of positions
- Excellent critical and analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Experience maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task and organize work
- Sophisticated command of the English language, both verbally and in writing
- Strong proficiency with Windows and MS Office and HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
- Knowledge of U.S. and Qatari Labor laws preferred
