Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key tasks
- Must create a positive, energetic working environment by maintaining high morale and productivity.
- Implement and manage all processes related to the effective handling of inbound guest calls and outbound calls.
- Assist in creating a high performance, revenue generating team through consistent development, training and coaching of Reservations Agents.
- Develop and leverage a team of people with unique talents and a variety of strengths to maximize effectiveness of the department statistical measurements.
- Ensure a positive prearrival experience for guests by accurately conveying reservation information, qualifying guest needs, and ensuring precise entry of guest information into booking system.
- Prioritize tasks and handle multiple duties simultaneously while remaining highly organized with attention to detail and consistent followup.
- Ensures the smooth and efficient operations in the department through prompt, effective and proper reservations service to achieve maximum room revenue in order to meet and exceed the revenue target.
- Maximize RevPar through the management of room inventories and market mixes.
- Conversion of upselling opportunities at point of reservation.
- Actively seek all sales and revenue opportunities both internal and external to increase the profile of the hotel.
- Identifies new reservations sales business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
- Understands the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Closes the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs.
- Monitors same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy
- Understand and be able to answer all questions about rates, room categories and seasonality.
- Sell rates according to availability and yield strategy.
- Pass on sales leads to Sales managers.
- Proactively try to crosssell (F&B, Spa, etc.) and upsell room types.
- Efficient and complete communication with all other departments, especially front desk, accounting and sales.
- Complete knowledge of the property management system.
- Monitors reservations sales agents while on phone calls.
- Develops, implements and maintains a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.

Requirements

Skills
- Level of Education Bachelor / Licence Areas of study Hospitality Management Professional experiences 1 to 2 years

Essential and optional requirements
- Bachelor's degree and/or Hotel Management degree/diploma and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience as Reservations Manager representative in hotel industry
- GCC experience
- Fluent in English Arabic an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills, superior interpersonal skills, results oriented and highly self-motivated.
- Able to multitask, work under pressure and learn new technologies.
