Employment: Full Time

The Restaurant Manager is accountable for delivering excellent customer services while achieving established business objectives through effective and efficient management of the restaurant operations. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manages daily restaurant operations (e.g. work schedules, revolving funds, building cleanliness) to ensure maximum productivity/customer satisfaction;
• Recruits, manages, trains, and develops team members in accordance with HR and Administration Team procedural guidance;
• Coordinates with HR on the application & renewal of employees’ legal documents and certificates (e.g. Residency Permit & Health Certificate);
• Develops/reviews reoccurring budget planning and ensures operating/capital expenses fall within budget limitations;
• Manages on-hand stock and inventory to estimate food & beverage consumption to allocate purchase orders and requisitions;
• Develops menus with other restaurant team members to encourage an all-inclusive work environment and introduce new concepts;
• Continually reviews product quality and researches vendor alternatives, while maintaining effective supplier relationships;
• Initiates various programs and promotional activities to increase sales revenue and level of profitability;
• Ensures compliance with restaurant security, health, and safety in accordance with company policies and applicable laws & regulations;
• Evaluates customer satisfaction levels and focuses on continuous process improvement;
• Handles complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant patrons and employees;
• Sets performance objectives and continually evaluates employee performance, while providing spot corrections and continuous feedback;
• Works closely with the Director of Operation in creating/developing policies and procedures and follow through its implementation;
• Conducts annual performance reviews for staff and provides feedback to improve productivity and support employee performance goals;
• Achieves the established performance targets (e.g. revenue, profitability and quality goals);
• Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation with team members. Provides transparent & inspirational leadership for the team;
• Coordinates and/or collaborates with other departments including Marketing, HR and Finance to aid restaurant operations;
• Prepares and submits detailed reports as required (weekly, monthly, quarterly operations report, and annual revenues/ expenses report);
• Ensures that company vehicles such as those used for customer order delivery are well maintained, clean, and serviced as required;
• Conducts in-house trainings (e.g. food safety) to continually develop and strengthen employee skillset.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration or culinary schooling is highly preferable;
• At least five (5) years managerial and/or supervisory experience in a large or medium-sized restaurant operation;
• Excellent English communication skills;
• Acute financial management skills, experience with budget and business plan development;
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills, team-player demonstrating collaborative approach;
• Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands;
• Analytical skills to evaluate data and make both operational and strategic decisions;
• Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings.
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations;
• Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines;
• Ability to work well under pressure;
• Experience in HACCP certification and conducting relevant training is a plus;
• Experience in handling restaurant with its own delivery fleet is an advantage.
