Employment: Full Time

A leading travel retail business in Qatar is currently seeking a Retail Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day operations of the entire business that includes several luxury brands. This person will be accountable for maximising sales and profit, ensuring achievement of targets through the delivery of world class customer service and effective merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:
* Effectively manage the entire retail operation in order to exceed performance levels
* Maximise sales and profits through correct planning, forecasting and allocation of resources
* Ensure promotional programs are implemented to deadlines
* Manage staff scheduling
* Develop all staff in the delivery of 5 star customer service
* Identify training needs and ensure a development plan is in place
* Management of public relations activities
* Ensure marketing and promotional activity is delivered effectively within the concessions
* Remain on top of trends to ensure display and visual merchandising efforts are on trend alongside making recommendations where necessary
* Lead the merchandising team to ensure product range and stock levels are consistent with standards
* Stock control and handling
* Work closely with the HR and Training teams to ensure regular training is delivered
* Motivate and drive sales at a 5 star standard
* Set KPI's for store managers and conduct regular performance review
* Recruitment activities
* Ensure all operational standards are met
* Ensure that all shop staff conform to security instructions, rules and regulations

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent
* Financial knowledge of cash handling, banking and working with budgets
* Proficiency in MS Office
* Strong experience within a similar operational role
* 8-10 years' experience within retail
* Travel retail experience preferred but not essential
* Strong mentoring and coaching skills
* Customer focus
* Leadership and managerial skills
