We are now seeking an exceptional Road Safety Engineer to join our award-winning team based within our Qatar Office.

This critical role will be responsible for auditing, investigating and analyzing road safety requirements in compliance with regional and national standards.

Responsibilities:

Paramount to success within this varied role will include:
• Designing road safety improvements.
• Preparing contract documents.
• Ensuring all works are carried out based on Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and Traffic Safety Standards (QTM).
• Supervising, reviewing and approving contractor's submittals.
• Resolving technical issues and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
• Ensuring that contractor's Traffic Officers are carrying out their traffic diversion routine inspections as prescribed in the contract document.
• Reviewing the contractor's traffic management plans and method statements.
• Reviewing the proposed diversion route such as temporary road layout, temporary/permanent safety barriers and lighting on carriageways.

Requirements

• To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 14 years' career experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Qatar Highways Design Manual (QHDM) and Work Zone Traffic Manual Guide (WZTMG) are essential.
