Sales Engineer - Pumps

Job description / Role

Our client is a leading OEM who has been in the Middle East 20+ years working through local distributors; manufacturing high efficiency pumps for building technologies.

Their Qatar branch is seeking a Sale Engineer, reporting to the Qatar Country Manager; responsible for:
• Technical and commercial support to distributors / customers
• Pre and post sales coordination and support
• Evaluate & analyse customer inquiries, assisting in the selection of the appropriate equipment to meet the overall requirements and prepare technical and commercial proposal
• Collect the complete project details from the customer and screen all the involved parties
• Assist the Country Manager in maintaining the internal / external sales tools
• Continuous support to the distributors in matters related to products, pricing, technical letters etc
• Train distributors and customers on products and sales tools
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure equipment is delivered within the contracted timescale

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Preferably mechanical or electrical)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the application of pumps for the buildings technologies
• Exposure to sales/marketing/distributors in Qatar
• Fluent in English is essential; Arabic is highly desirable
