Job description / Role
Strategic:
• Oversee development of customer base to reach targeted sales and profitability levels
• Assist Operations Director in overall business development activities to contribute to achievement of company strategy and objectives
Operational:
• Identify and approach potential customers to present the company services and products
• Maintain relationship with existing customers and drive-up selling efforts
• Liaise with Corporate Communications to incorporate marketing efforts into sales activities; provide actionable inputs and recommendations for new marketing initiatives
• Drive and implement any business development activities to enhance position in the market and to achieve the set business goals
• Oversee development and provision of periodic and ad-hoc reports on sales activities and performance
• Perform any other work related duties assigned by the Operations Director
People:
• Ensure compliance with the performance management process and its linkages to learning and development, compensation, promotion, career development and succession planning. This is done in full collaboration with the HR function
• Contribute to the people development initiatives within the department.
• Coach and mentor direct subordinates to develop their skills and ensure continuous people development
Requirements
• BSc of Bus Admin, Economics, or related discipline
• Post graduate degree such as MSc, MBA or PGD in a relevant discipline will be an advantage (Preferable Geology)
• Above 6 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in top management
• Very good knowledge of business development and marketing concepts
• Outstanding knowledge of sales and relationship management practices
• Excellent understanding of Qatar Business environment and client base
• Ability to work in collaboration with teams
