Qualification and experience required

Education: Bachelor of science in any engineering field or equivalent.

Hydrocarbon and process safety experience is a must. Instrument and electrical background to a certain level is required.

Industry experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in oil and gas production operations as a supervisor.

Certifications

• T-BOSIET / H2S
• Fitness to work certificate
• Basic and advanced firefighting
• Management of major emergencies
• Offshore emergency response team leader
• Advanced first aid

Company specific certification (as a minimum)

• Incident free supervisor certification
• Health & industrial hygiene
• Industry golden rules
• Basic cause tree analysis
• Oil spill principles and management level 1
• Electrical habilitation level 2
• Gas and NORM test training

Required competencies

Technical knowledge:

• Proficient in process, water treatment, gas treatment, gas lift, production equipment functionality and well operations
• Understand operational safety and ability to identify potential hazards (SimOps, pressure, lifting, etc.)
• Thorough understanding and use of P&ID and C&E drawings, and isolation principles
• Basic understanding of instrumentation and control equipment principles, including fault diagnosis
• Knowledgeable in industry process safety guidelines and procedures
• Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the production performance of the assigned area
• Responsible for the safety of all permanent and non-permanent occupants of the assigned area
• Being an authority within the assigned area
• Being the On-Scene Commander in the event of an emergency response
• Actively participate as a permanent member of the platform team
