Job description / Role
Details:
• Contract type: Full Time
• Contract term: Permanent
• Salary: 1,800-2,600 British pounds tax free (negotiable)
• Housing allowance: 1,200 - 1500 British pounds depending on marital status
• Yearly flight for yourself and 1 dependent
• Medical insurance for yourself and 1 dependent
• An additional allowance payment for a candidate who is able to lead a team
Your typical day at work:
• Preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities;
• Marking work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of pupils' progress and development;
• Researching new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials;
• Selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment, including podcasts and interactive whiteboards;
• Communicating with parents over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events;
• Liaising with other professionals, such as learning mentors, careers advisers, educational psychologists and education welfare officers;
• Supervising and supporting the work of teaching assistants, trainee teachers and newly qualified teachers (NQTs);
• To take into account the differing ability lessons of students and differentiate work accordingly.
• To encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets.
Requirements
• At least 5 years of teaching experience.
• Minimum Requirement: PGCE, Bachelor of Education or Similar Teaching Qualification from a UK, Australian, Canadian or American institute. Celta & Telf Not Accepted.
