Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key member of the Supply Chain Management Team, based in Vodafone Qatar.

Reports and works closely with the Senior Commercial Manager, and support the Commercial Services Category.

Engagement across multiple business departments for the delivery of SCM Projects, Challenges including close liaison with key stakeholders ie. Finance Business Partners, Departmental Business Owners, Executive Team, Suppliers.

Deliver savings in OPEX & CAPEX and working towards cost optimisation.

The role requires the individual to work with the relevant areas of the business whilst building and managing a process performance framework to deliver financial and operational efficiencies, process improvements and governance / adherence.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute spend category strategies (Strategy, Finance, Human Resources, Property, Marketing, Legal, CBU and Travel).
- Develop Procurement strategies / roadmaps and proposals to consider new categories of spend not previously explored.
- Manage OPEX & Capex Budgets for the categories and identify cost saving initiatives (SCM projects)
- Work closely with the Finance Business Partners & agree on cost saving initiatives, project roadmap, validation of monthly reporting and cost savings
- Report to the SCM Senior Commercial Manager on a weekly basis – project updates and cost saving initiatives.
- Lead tenders and negotiate agreements for products and services. Introduce new and alternative sources of supply to ensure quality and reliable supply of goods and services at the optimal total cost. Ability to assess supplier capabilities, evaluate & recommend proposals and execute contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with the legal team & business owners to create the contractual agreement and scope of work
- Validate departmental purchase orders and awareness of the end-to-end Purchase to Pay process
- Responsible for the vendor creation process
- Align to the Vodafone Way of Working & Adhere to the Vodafone Policies – Code of Ethical Purchasing, Business Principles, Anti-Bribery, Supply Chain Process

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years solid Procurement & Supply Chain Experience, preferably in the Telecommunication’s industry
- Approved CIPSA certified courses or equivalent business related degree
- Must have Category & Project management experience
- Able to produce category strategies / roadmaps
- Experience in managing large tenders is essential
- Innovated thinker ‘’ outside of the box’’
- Strong commercial / legal acumen
- Proven negotiation and analytical skills
- Risk Management & Health and Safety acumen
- Experience of leading /influence cross functional teams across the organisation
- Developing relationships – ability to be able to shape strong relationships at a senior level and cross functionally
- Ability to influence key stakeholders
- Exceptional organisational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communicator and writing skills

Technical Skills :
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel / Powerpoint - mandatory)
- SAP (desirable)
