Job description / Role
Linum Consult’s client is major consultancy operating in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Security Manager to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assisting in providing design and deployment of Corporate and Project security policy, plans, and systems for the company based upon the threat assessments
• Achieving objectives in line with the Corporate Security Plan
• Assisting in continually identifying opportunities for increased security efficiencies and service improvements
• Coordinating the collation of security KPIs and periodic company security reports that provide focus on progress with Security Policy objectives, emerging negative trends, and actions necessary to continually improve and address shortfalls
• Coordinating a consistent communication and application of periodic Company Security Initiatives
• Championing security within projects and operations for continual communication, education, and acting as a focal point for initiatives/requirements
• Maintaining and developing the Threat Assessment via regular reviews, including intelligence received from internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring all security incidents are correctly reported into the Security Management System
• Developing junior staff, and ensuring department resources are utilised for efficient and effective outcomes
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree qualification in Security or a similar field
• At least 12 years’ experience implementing and monitoring effective Security Management Systems and processes in line with international best practice
• Qualified SMS Auditor, with a membership to a professional institution
• Excellent communication and organisation skills, with the ability to seek innovative solutions
