Security Officer

Job description / Role

• Responsible for providing timely and coherent responses to incidents as they arise by overseeing and managing security
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel
• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; and monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; and permitting entry.
• Prevent loss and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
• Control traffic by directing drivers
• Maintain complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
• Maintain a safe environment by monitoring and setting up building and equipment controls
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Exhibit knowledge of the working of security systems
• Obtain help by sounding alarms and proactively reacting to emergencies/crisis related to managed assets
• Manage response to any emergency situation and conduct necessary action and coordination
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance

• 4+ years of Security or Police/Military experience
• Previous Security, Military or Law Enforcement training
• Read, Speak and Understand English & Arabic languages fluently
• Understanding of security systems (CCTV, Access Control)
• Experience in Qatar or GCC will be preferred
• Emergency response skills
• Security Incident investigation/assessment reporting skills
• Good communication skills, written and verbal, in both English and Arabic
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Quick learner, ready to take on workload and deliver under tight deadlines
• Secondary Education Degree (12 years) followed by formal training in security or military operations
