Senior Analyser Technician

Job description / Role

Role holder implements activities for analyzers including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues etc. for various analytical instruments, Gas Chromatographs, CEMS analysers etc. The key contribution is to perform all planned jobs in timely and safe manner to ensure delivery of specific objectives based on established KPI’s.

Specific Accountabilities:
- Perform and implement planned maintenance, installation and repair activities for the Analyzer team as provided by Supervisor.
- Participates in performing a wide variety of skilled tasks including repairs, troubleshooting and calibration of online process analytical instrumentation, ABB-PGC2000/3100/5000; Daniel-700/700XA; Siemens MAXUM-2; ENCAL make Gas Chromatograph; ABB (advance optima) make CEMS STACK analysers; ABB Vistanet; ADAS network. Proficient in the operation and maintenance of analysers & server systems.
- Ensure all jobs in the field for analyzers are completed as per quality and safety standards of Qatargas.
- Installation, calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, replacement of Analysers and associated sampling system Instrumentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance of CEMS, GC’s, O2, CO, PH, COND, H2S, SO2, TOC, Freeze Point, Flash Point, Stack, etc. Analysers as per PM task list and schedule
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures and makes safety above all else.
- Implementation of modifications in the Analyzer system based engineering design changes.

Requirements

- Completion of Diploma in Instrumentation or relevant analyser field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Analyser Technician preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Basic knowledge of ISA Standards and good command of written and spoken English.
- Basic knowledge of systems, networks and interfaces like OPC, Modbus, Ethernet etc.
