Employment: Full Time

We are currently seeking for a professional with an excellent understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to join our team in QATAR.  As an independent consultancy Turner & Townsend’s primary role on a project is to manage the implementation of BIM on behalf of our clients worldwide.

This includes developing BIM strategies managing the BIM implementation processes and providing assurance services. Applicants should have skill sets in project management construction management engineering or architectural technology demonstrate an understanding of BIM and be able to demonstrate the use of BIM software applications and technologies. Applicant should also be able to demonstrate both self-management and team working skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills in English language.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Develop company BIM standards and protocols and update as necessary
- Identify and implement new technology and process to enhance internal productivity
- Provide support to the tender bidding teams tender preparation and client presentations in order to win future work
- Continuing development of in-house BIM capabilities within Turner & Townsend
- Prepare case studies and lessons learnt reports
- Provide BIM awareness and the necessary training to other members of the Company
- Advise project managers cost managers and project teams with regard to BIM data and data structure best practices
- Collaborate with regional and global BIM team to share knowledge recent experiences and ideas to best serve the wider business and future projects Live Projects/ Project Support Provide a BIM management lead role for a project or series of projects
- Lead project BIM workshops at key stages of the project
- Design develop and implement employers information requirement documents defining the client and project requirements
- Design develop and implement BIM Execution Plans defining the client and project requirements
- Create clash detection coordination schedules and reports and lead coordination meetings
- Create and distribute key action reports
- Ensure BIM standards are being followed by project stakeholders
- Liaise directly with project teams and contractor teams
- Review Building Information Models (visual and detailed interrogation)Promote increased collaboration between project stakeholders
- Interface with Design Team and Information Managers to ensure information coordination
- Design and implement BIM implementation programme and model production delivery tables
- Manage BIM project communications and transmittals within common data environments
- Undertake model quality checks
- Have an understanding of BIM Competency Assessments of supply chains
- Ability to provide comprehensive regular reports on project performance and progress

Requirements

- Understanding of UK government BIM Standards and guidelines
- Understanding of design BIM and procurement and its application in planning and construction management
- Proven experience in multidisciplinary working practices and interdependencies
- Proven experience in pre and post contract BIM execution
- Enthusiastic and positive team player - giving the project team confidence in the use of BIMUp to date knowledge of BIM technology and interoperability standards/ good all round technical knowledge
- Ability to manage a team
- Experience in communicating and working with cross-functional teams
- Up to date knowledge of BIM technology and interoperability standards/ good all round technical knowledge
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent communicator – ability to provide clear guidance to the whole project team to coordinate a successful outcome
- Experience in writing clear concise requirements and documentation
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of BIM authoring tools (Revit or Bentley)Advanced user of 3D coordination and clash detection software – (Navisworks/ Solibri)Advanced user of 4D construction simulation and visualisation –(Syncro/ Navisworks)
- Good understanding of schedule design software (Primavera/ MS Project)Good understanding of 5D cost estimation process and tools (CostX/ BIM measure)
- Good understanding of design assurance software (Solibri)  Desired Skills & Experience Engagement with external BIM groups
- Understanding/ experience associated with the operational phase of a buildings life cycle
