Senior Budget, Reporting & Control Expert – Qatar

Linum Consult’s client is currently in the process of expanding and is seeking a Senior Budget, Reporting & Control Expert to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establishing budget, reporting, and control guidelines based on best practices and emerging trends to support the company’s strategic direction
• Preparing and analysing corporate business plans to align with the company’s long-term objectives, ensuring the integration of financial and strategic considerations
• Implementing the detailed budget development, capital structuring, and investment analysis (e.g. IRR, NPV calculations) to support the company
• Preparing and delivering financial reports, including results and forecasts, for stakeholder presentations
• Ensuring effective cascading of the divisional strategy into sectional business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing strategies
• Leading the management of change through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes and practices, taking into account global standards and changes in the business environment

• Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or Business, ideally with an MBA
• 10 years’ experience in a similar budgeting/financial role, with a strong background in the power/energy sector
• Experience managing a small team of people, with the ability to interface with senior management and key stakeholders at all levels
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Previous experience of working in Qatar and/or other Gulf countries
