48 hours per week, 5 days on / 2 days off, 10 hours per day

Position summary

We are seeking an experienced civil/structural designer to support brownfield engineering projects in the oil and gas sector. The role involves developing and updating detailed design drawings, layouts, and material take-offs for both new and existing facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update civil and structural drawings across concept, FEED, and detailed design phases of brownfield projects
• Develop and revise underground composite drawings, including drainage layouts and details
• Produce GA and detail drawings for concrete buildings and steel structures, including pipe supports, racks, bridges, platforms, and foundations
• Create drawings for auxiliary steel structures such as handrails, ladders, equipment supports, pits, and trenches
• Conduct site surveys within onshore oil and gas plants
• Check and review civil and structural drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare structural steel connection detail drawings and material take-offs (MTOs) for procurement and construction purposes

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience in brownfield engineering drawings within the oil and gas sector, ideally in the Middle East
• Strong background in civil and structural design for both new construction and modification of existing buildings
• Proven expertise in developing and checking drawings for concrete and steel structures, including supporting infrastructure
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience producing 2D drawings
• Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate procurement and construction MTOs
• Previous site survey experience in onshore oil and gas facilities
