Employment: Full Time

Position Summary
This role has the primary responsibility for the review, management, and compliance for all contracts and leases for goods and services of the WCM-Q.

Job Responsibilities
• Reviews components of existing contractual arrangements and analyzes the elements of the agreements for accuracy, completeness and compliance with University standards and policies.
• Negotiates legal terms in collaboration with University legal counsel.
• Monitors collection of required contract documents. Conducts quality assurance review of all contracts and prepares contract documents for execution.
• Maintains records and documents by scanning and adding executed agreements to contracts area, accurately reflected in application or database.
• Generates reporting from database regarding expiring agreements and follows up with appropriate internal parties to determine if contracts are to be renewed or terminated.
• Supports activities to renew or extend existing contracts using standard format and defined processes.
• Supports developing or updating standard agreements, terms or conditions that can be utilized for contracts.
• Assists in key initiatives to improve contract management processes and activities including developing and enhancing contract solutions.
• Coordinates review with the University business partners to gain industry best practices and trends to strengthen contract management.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Commercial Law

Experience
• Approximately three (3)+ years of experience in legal, risk, and compliance environment related to contracts and contract negotiation.
• Law degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Analytical skills and mindset to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate contract related information to review and execute contracts as well as identify improvement opportunities.
• Strong negotiating skills and working knowledge of Qatar laws.
• Collaborative skills in teaming with colleagues and working with an innovative, energetic faculty; able to work collegially across the institution, to build relationships and to motivate, mobilize and energize others to work together.
• Willingness to engage in thoughtful discussion with faculty in envisioning and implementing institutional change and a commitment to support faculty efforts.
• Ability to work effectively with external business partners to find creative approaches to meet university and workforce development needs.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently on defined tasks.
