Senior Cost Engineer

Job description / Role

Please note that you must have strong road and drainage experience with a main contractor in the Middle East

Main Responsibilities:
• Collect information about the progress from the team on site.
• Collect information from the management team to track the actual project costs.
• Report to the Management about any potential impacts on the works.
• Get the theoretical cost/expenses to date through collecting site work reports.
• Make a comparison of budgeted and executed expenses through inputted information in SAP.
• Conduct an internal review of reports in order to identify deviations and possible causes of them.
• Generate proposals to address the causes of deviations and actions.
• Schedule meetings with the site team to transmit the results of the analysis.
• Report to the management about the status of implementation, cost and budget variance for each project in the designated dates.
• Planning meetings with Project managers and designated staff to control costs.
• Present the detected deviations and their possible causes.
• Propose corrective actions identified.
• Agreeing implementations of corrective actions with input from site team.
• Conduct a review of the implementation of the actions agreed in previous visits.
• Report to the management about the repeated failure to implement corrective actions by the site work

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years of previous experience as Cost Controller within the Middle East.
• Previous Infrastructure experience required
