We are now seeking an exceptional Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our award winning team based within our Qatar Office.

This critical role will be responsible for leading the electrical design process for the building engineering services on one or several projects depending on size, type and complexity.

Responsibilities

Paramount to success within this varied role will include

- Provide leadership in research, planning, design of electrical systems for the building engineering systems, including but not limited to power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, earthing, lightning protection and low voltage systems and providing guidance and instruction to the designated Level 1, 2, and 3 project engineers.
- Supervise the Level 1, 2 and 3 project engineers to perform engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, conceptual and final designs, cost estimates, and engineering calculations.
- Hold ownership of preparation and documentation of calculations and design, complete with support references to codes and standards, ensuring the information is scanned and located in the project folder for future access by a member of staff located in any of the KEO offices.
- Attend all coordination and progress meetings with the client and present options and solutions as required.
- Provide leadership in problem solving at a project level and encourage the use of innovation.
- Perform QA/QC on projects designed by other Engineers.
- Ensure that the KEO QA/QC procedures are followed for the project, and work with the project team to close out all comments received from the QA/QC reviewers.
- Coordinating workload to complete documents on the agreed schedule.
- Tracking the financial aspects of the projects, coordinating and adjusting the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within budget.
- Obtain project related approvals from the relevant local authorities.
- Mentor and oversee the development of engineers working on projects under your control.
- Work with the PMs and HOD to ensure sufficient project resources to deliver the services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager and/or HOD.

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years career experience with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
