Job description

We are seeking a senior electrical engineer to provide technical design and engineering services on large-scale oil and gas projects. This role will cover the full lifecycle of project delivery, from concept through to commissioning, ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

Deliver technical design and engineering services for electrical systems across assigned projects.

Conduct engineering activities and site surveys from concept phase through to studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.

Ensure all work complies with relevant engineering standards, codes, safety, and environmental policies.

Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines and standards.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and contracted organisations to ensure scope compliance and resolve technical issues.

Plan and lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of engineering services.

Review, approve, and monitor method statements, schedules, and deliverables from contractors.

Support bid evaluations, scope reviews, and contract variation assessments.

Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering standards, guidelines, and internal procedures.

Provide mentoring and support to junior engineers, including structured technical training.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience required:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (chartered or professional engineer status preferred).

Minimum 10 years of post-graduate experience, including at least 6 years in the oil and gas industry.

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards, codes, and best practices.

Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality across multiple engineering projects.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.

Strong leadership and coordination abilities within multidisciplinary project environments.
