Senior Engineer - SCADA

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Assists in defining the execution of engineering activities related to all instrumentation and controls and identify the need for any technical assistance
• Reviews/comments on electrical engineering control system drawings
• Coordinate and review the preparation of method statements related to electrical SCADA work
• Develop and upgrade existing standards
• Reviewing control systems design, material submissions and shop drawings related to the SCADA
• Attend factory acceptance testing and ensure systems' compliance to the contract
• Review the SCADA software programs, logic, operation & functionality
• Supervise the Central SCADA commissioning of the DCP, ETS and HVAC equipment
• Plan and suggest strategic recommendations for site-wide SCADA system for multiple systems

Requirements

Essential Candidate Specifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical engineering degree from an accredited University with Professional Engineering Registration/Chartered Engineer in any recognized professional institution
• Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience, of which 5 years as a Manager/ Technical lead in a design management capacity of similar works
• Must have experience in managing, reviewing and approving of design documents and drawings associated SCADA and communications network systems associated with deep storm water/sewerage pumping stations and other associated process type buildings
• Must have excellent communication skills and experience of large scale project delivery and design team management

They shall be able to demonstrate the following Key Skills:
• Deep well storming water pumping station design
• Peer review electrical contract documents, calculations & reports
• Detailed knowledge of electrical specifications and datasheets
• Pumping station control design - Control Philosophy
• Detailed understanding of P&ID's
• Design of SCADA systems - PLC's
• Design of communication network systems
• Peer review ICA contract documents, calculations & reports
• Detailed knowledge of ICA specifications and datasheets
