Senior Engineer, Smart City Cyber Security

Job description / Role

- Oversee and direct the implementation of Cyber Security measures within Smart City projects, ensuring compliance with local and international cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices, including technical support and advisory for IT and OT related assets, Smart City Platform, Applications, and integrated assets.
- Lead and manage the deployment of cybersecurity systems associated with the smart city platform and the integrated assets
- Review, build and maintain SOC, SOAR Design documents for varying domains under cyber security including Governance, network security, endpoint security, OT etc.
- Review system architecture and ensure compliance of security aspects with local authorities
- Provide support for achieving and maintaining compliance to NCSA requirements
- Provide technical support to Security Operations Centre in coordination with the involved stakeholders
- Manage, Operate, analyses, and validate incidents triggered from correlated events through SIEM solutions and Support with incident management and response
- Carry out internal cyber security audit and identify gaps and required upgrades
- Support with VAPT exercise
- Support in day-to-day activities as assigned by line manager
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance

- 5+ years of experience in supporting implementation of cyber security at smart cities and data centers with hands-on technical experience in Service provider and Enterprise Network and security domain.
- Proven knowledge in Implementation of cyber security at core network infrastructures and OT applications
- Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication / Instrumentation or relevant specialized field
- Cyber Security certifications is preferred / a must?
- Ability to liaise, influence, challenge and interact effectively with other Senior Engineers and departments
- Attention to detail, perseverance and proactive approach to work
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion and conflict resolution skills.
- Maintain focus on long-term strategic objectives in light of immediate operational requirements.
