Senior Engineer - Substation

Looking for a Sr. Engineer - Substation with a successful record in the delivery of power projects as Owner's Engineer (OE) during design, construction and commissioning for a power project to be based in QATAR.

The project scope includes detailed design, construction, and commissioning of substations including 400kv, 220kv, 132KV and 33KV across a number of packages.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:
* Responsible for Design & review and approvals of all electrical equipment like EHV/HV/MV/LV switchgears, transformers, control & protection schemes, of various manufacturers, neutral earthing equipment, DC systems, LVAC systems, power and control cables, calculations for earthing, cable sizing, CT/PT parameters, SCS, etc.for GIS. FAT & SAT Procedure and Reports.
* Responsible for the equipment installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as per the approved formats and procedures with providing project engineering services, performance reviews, detailed design package review and technical oversight to support Client.
* Co-ordination meetings, prepare correspondence, checking works progress, clearing of red markup drawings and as-built drawings, along with defect list clearance.
* Responsible and lead the site team.

Requirements

* Recent experience in installation/commissioning of 400/220kV GIS Substations and 132/66/33/11kV Substations
* More than 15 Years of Experience - Design Review Knowledge.
* Should have worked for a minimum of 10 years in the capacity of senior engineer level in the relevant field and should have worked for major projects of substation & transmission systems (132kV/220/400kV systems) involving design, inspection, erection and commissioning & testing of GIS, circuit breakers, transformers and all auxiliary systems of substation etc.
* Must be fully conversant / referred all relevant international standards & Codes and shall have working experience in ISO 9000 systems.
* Shall have experience contract procedures, technical specifications, bid evaluation, and similar.
* Should have experience in factory inspections, material selection, route selection, investigation of existing transmission structures and able to evaluate required technical solutions.
* Bachelor Degree from Recognised University
