Senior Environment Engineer – Doha
CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a large international company currently seeking a Senior Environment Engineer with a background in major heavy industry projects to be based in their Doha office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementing and overseeing the environmental management activities of the projects, under the guidance of the HSE Manager
• Ensuring that all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities comply with company environmental policies, applicable legal requirements, and project-specific environmental standards
• Identifying and assessing environmental risks specific to ammonia and urea production (e.g. ammonia leaks, effluent discharge, NOx emissions)
• Monitoring on-site environmental performance, identifying potential environmental risks, and driving corrective and preventative actions to mitigate impacts
• Being accountable for conducting environmental inspections, supporting audits, and preparing reports, and ensuring the consistent application of environmental procedures and practices across all project activities
• Promoting & adhering to the company’s health & safety, environmental, energy, and quality management systems and standards

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in an Engineering subject, ideally with a relevant Professional Certification
• At least 10 years’ experience in environmental engineering, with at least 3-5 years in major projects, ideally within the heavy industry sector
• Demonstrable history of contributing to cross-functional reviews such as: QRA, HAZID, HAZOP, and EIA
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Due to visa restrictions, our client can only consider candidates who are Western nationals
