Senior Fire Safety Specialist - Qatar Aircraft Catering Company - Doha

As a Senior Fire Safety Specialist you will assist the Occupational Health and Safety team to further develop OHS strategies in Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC) with the primary focus on fire safety, ensuring compliance with local regularity authorities and international best practices that will maintain the safety of staff, customers and facilities in support of business continuity. Ensures accurate implementation of fire safety strategies and procedure across the company, and suggest / proceeds with corrective actions, in case of deviations.

You will be involved in Implementation of preventative fire strategies and policies to avoid damage to plant, equipment and facilities, identifying and managing emergency plans for unlikely event of a fire in QACC catering facility. You will work closely with the Qatar Airways Corporate Facilities to ensure appropriate escape strategies, and to co-ordinate with the Fire Safety Task Force on a quarterly basis. Manage fire accidents / incidents on the ADQ system and subsequent related investigations to the appropriate department.

You will undertake regular inspections / audits throughout QACC facility to help identify potential fire hazards in the workplace, liaise with and assist any Government bodies including Qatar Civil Defence and regulating bodies where necessary and to co-ordinate the implementation of all fire safety training that may be required.

Requirements

You must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of job related experience.

You should have knowledge of national and international legislation related to fire and rescue, understanding of building fire management systems and design and a proven track record for the implementation of policies and strategies related to fire safety. Prior experience and knowledge of Facility Management will be an advantage.
