Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement API and integration solutions using Apigee and related technologies.
• Define integration architecture, standards, and best practices for service design and API governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable API-driven solutions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of integration platforms.
• Drive migration, modernization, or hybrid integration initiatives (on-prem and cloud).
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the integration team.
• Support architecture reviews, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.

Requirements:
Experience:
• 12+ years of total experience in Integration, API Management, and Integration Architecture.
Primary Skills:
• Strong expertise in Google Apigee API Management Platform, including:
• API proxy design and implementation
• Policies, security (OAuth, JWT, API key validation)
• Traffic management, rate limiting, and analytics
• Apigee hybrid or on-prem deployment models
• Deep understanding of Integration Patterns and Enterprise Integration Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) and Microservices-based architecture design principles.
• Experience with API lifecycle management, governance, and versioning strategies.
• Solid understanding of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
Secondary Skills (Preferred):
• Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) components such as:
• API Connect, App Connect Enterprise, MQ, Event Streams, or Integration Designer.
• Exposure to CI/CD automation using Jenkins, Git, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container-based deployments.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Apigee Certified API Engineer, IBM Integration Architect, TOGAF Certified) are a plus.
