Senior Mechanical Engineer

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client operates out of the Middle East. They are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical support to the Engineering Managers on a large building construction project in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meeting the project’s goals and objectives by providing support to the Engineering and Technical Managers
• Planning and organising the work of the consultant design team members to ensure high quality results are achieved
• Managing the end-to-end engineering solutions related to the Mechanical aspects of the project
• Ensuring that the mechanical designs and project drawings meet the local regulations and international standards, and safety codes
• Meeting the requirements of the company’s business plan and objectives
• Monitoring and supervising activities related to the Mechanical Design
• Providing feedback regarding project progress, status, changes, and ensuring the consultants are delivering detailed designs according to the Company’s standards

Requirements

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, with a master’s degree in a related subject and Licensed or Chartered Professional Engineering Certificate
• 8 years’ experience in a similar role within the GCC real estate market
• Excellent technical capabilities in mechanical design submittals/ loading assumptions, calculations and drawings
• Previous experience in a Mechanical Project Management function
• Fluency in English is essential, along with excellent communication skills
• Very strong teamworking skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
