Senior Mechanical Engineer - Infrastructure Utilities

Job description / Role

A Senior Mechanical Engineer is required to join an engineering consultancy team in Qatar. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of major infrastructure works associated with a prestigious airport development project.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the mechanical design for infrastructure utilities including:

• District Cooling Systems
• Potable Water Networks
• Firefighting Networks, Pumping Stations & Storage Tanks
• Wastewater Treatment Plants and Sewage Collection Systems
• RO Plants, TSE Networks, and Irrigation Systems
• Conduct demand analysis and prepare design criteria such as pipe sizing, system capacity, and equipment selection.
• Review and coordinate designs with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with Qatar design standards and international best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in design review meetings and liaise with clients and stakeholders

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in district cooling, water, firefighting, and wastewater systems.
• Strong knowledge of design codes, hydraulics, and pumping systems.
• Airport infrastructure experience will be considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
