Job description / Role
- Overseeing the O&M of 35000 m3/d seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant and procuring post treatment chemicals Overseeing the O&M of 51 water features in TPQ
- Managing 21 pumping stations covering potable water, storm water, irrigation water, Qatar Cool makeup water and sewage water
- Oversee the O&M of the 5000m3/d sewage treatment plant.
- Management of five lakes in TPQ
- Dealing with Ministry of Environment in the offshore monitoring of seawater intake/outfall system and compliance with SWRO operating permit requirements.
- Technical dealings with Kahramaa for handing over of potable water pump station and networks to them.
- Dealing with Ashghal for the transfer of sewage from TPQ to Lusail and receiving treated effluent from Lusail to TPQ for irrigation application.
- Dealing with Parsons/Hyder Consultants for construction of TSE chamber outside TPQ main gate.
- Handling upgrading projects such as refurbishment of Lake 3 and cleaning of irrigation lakes etc.
Hands-on experience in the maintenance and operation of the following:
- Desalination process particularly in reverse osmosis process,
- Sewage treatment plants,
- LPG plant operational maintenance,
- Pumping stations for potable, sewage, irrigation storm water and vacuum pump stations,
- Water quality management,
- Reconciliation of utility for water, gas and electricity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum ten (10) years' experience in MEP building services in a capacity directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Demonstrated experience in developing MEP asset management strategy
- Ability to troubleshoot MEP systems and services
- Understanding and experience of contract requirements for EMP services and systems
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Project planning skills
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical,
- Extensive experience in sea water reverse osmosis plants, and was involved in the installation of the SWRO in The Pearl Qatar
- Hands-on experience in pumping stations and sewage treatment plants
- MEP experience in Facilities Management field, and NOT construction field
