Engineering company based in Qatar looking for senior offshore structural engineer role.

12 months secondment contract.

5 days on / 2 days off / 8-10 hours per day.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all facets of structural engineering for greenfield/brownfield modifications of offshore projects are compliant and safe in accordance with international and company standards and guidelines like Shell DEP, QatarEnergy standards, EN, ISO, API codes.
• Candidate shall be a specialist graduate engineer in performing detailed engineering of offshore structures.
• Candidate shall have major experience (more than 12 years) in offshore works and specific to upstream oil & gas facility, jackets & topside fixed platform structures.
• He must be able to handle concept, FEED & detail engineering of offshore works independently based on project scope of work.
• Well conversant with preparation of comment resolution sheets for client approval, technical queries etc.
• Must be well conversant in SACS (mandatory). Experience in SESAM, MOSES and Staad Pro will be additional advantage.
• Must have experience in jacket brownfield modification related analysis like re-assessment of global in-place, seismic, boat impact, jacket spectral fatigue (RBI studies) and pushover analysis.
• Must have experience in brownfield modification related analysis like local analysis of topside, loadout and sea transportation analysis for deck extension/modification including rigging design and installation sequence knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of geotechnical data and pile foundation using PSI.
• Experience in model review software like ACAD, E3D, PDS, Navisworks will be an added advantage.
• Experience in carrying out miscellaneous calculation of bolted subsea clamp design, doubler plate, node plate, equipment support, monorail beam, local beam and plate checks as per international standards and codes.
• Experience in preparation of design calculation using Excel and Mathcad and prepare analysis report.
• Must have basic knowledge of fabrication and detail drawing checking. Must have knowledge in installation and removal sequence of existing and new structures, equipment etc.
• Must have prior experience in carrying out offshore site surveys and preparation of site survey reports.
• Must be capable of checking design calculations and detailed drawings.
• Candidate must be able to guide and mentor all team members to meet deliverable deadlines maintaining acceptable quality standards.
• Must have prior experience in client coordination, document approval coordination etc.
