Senior Piping Designer

Job description / Role

Engineering company based in Qatar looking for senior piping designer.

12 months secondment contract.
5 days on / 2 days off / 8-10 hours per day.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or diploma in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Lead and manage a team of professional designers. Define and assign work scopes within a broad area of responsibility.
• Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience in FEED / detailed engineering of greenfield / brownfield engineering to oil and gas or similar facilities which must include offshore.
• Out of 10 years, shall also have minimum 5 years of experience in detailed design engineering of brownfield modifications to oil and gas offshore.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in E3D modelling software and 10 years of experience in AutoCAD software.
• Develop detailed design and construction drawings such as plot plan, piping GAD, key plans, isometrics, demolition drawings, etc.
• Develop procurement and construction MTOs from approved documents and drawings.
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of industry practices, tools, codes and applicable standards for the discipline.
• Must have ability to design supports for non-critical piping.
• Site-based construction and commissioning experience is an advantage.
