Senior PMO Manager

Job description / Role

Linum Consult’s client operates out of the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Senior PMO Manager to oversee their IT technology requirements. This role will be based in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the guidelines, standard operating procedures, and improvement plans for all IT technology requirements of the company
• Leading and managing IT projects, providing insightful guidance, mentorship, and proactive support to drive successful project execution and maximise team performance
• Driving the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of critical IT projects, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems, networks, and infrastructure
• Contributing to the development and implementation of the IT strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
• Analysing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
• Identifying and addressing any operational inefficiencies or issues within the ITC department
• Integrating automation solutions with existing systems and configuring them for seamless data flow and reporting and tracking the impact of automation on efficiency, accuracy, and resource utilisation
• Monitoring and enhancing the security of the IT infrastructure and networks, implementing any necessary measures to protect against cyber threats
• Creating a comprehensive project reporting framework encompassing key performance indicators, metrics, and reporting templates tailored to different stakeholder needs

PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar subject
• PMP certified, ideally with a PMO Professional certification, or Strategic Project Management Certificate or equivalent
• At least 12 years’ overall experience managing complex IT projects, with 4-5 years in a supervisory role within highly reputed companies, preferably in the Transport/Logistics industry
• Proficient in project management tools
• Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure and operations
• Fluent in spoken and written English
