Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate in project execution strategy and planning.
- Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements, ensures the team meets the expectations
- Encourages innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence.
- Direct the implementation of all functions of project management.
- Effective management of Worley-Client contract, including delivery of the man-hour budget.
- Direct the planning of all scope elements of the project.
- Routine monitoring of the key reports and development of corrective action plans.
- Timely and effective documentation turnover and project close-out.
- Direct the planning and preparation of accurate project estimates.
- Establish cost report for control of projects.
- Monitoring and control of all cost aspects of the project to forecast costs, obtain approvals, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns and take advantage of opportunities
- Assess performance of cost control system & personnel.
- Responsible for project cost estimation, budgeting, planning & scheduling, resources identification & arrangement.
- Review project documentation (including Tender)
- Effectively interface and coordinate with other departments (Production, Technical, Materials, Maintenance, Safety, Training, Security, etc) and Contractors.
- Facilitates and leads inter-departmental meetings for resolution of issues.
- Relevant parts of PEP explained and understood by project team.
- Early identification of critical issues and ensuring these are focussed on and achieved by the design/procurement team.
- Identification and resolution of interdisciplinary issues prior to them impacting the project.
- Zero NCR's from audit of project engineering function.
- Responsible for:
- All inter-discipline co-ordination and technical management of third parties.
- Responsible for establishment of project execution plans, contracting strategies, planning and cost control systems.
- Compliance with regulatory, legal, quality and company requirements.
- Regular reporting of project status to clients and Projects Manager.
- Identifying, managing and mitigating project risks.

Quality Assurance
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
- Work with project managers/project engineers to ensure all projects are set up and executed in full compliance with all the requirements of the Worley Project Management Process (WPMP) and General Management System (EMS) using consistent approaches, Work Breakdown Structures, work methodologies and reporting systems
- Monitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities .

Safety
- Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures
- Promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.

Requirements

Qualifications

Industry Specific Experience:
- Extensive work experience at a senior level within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Must have 15 years minimum project engineering experience in the Oil & Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical environment
- Must have experience of working with multidisciplinary teams
- Must have well developed engineering planning skills
- Preferably Middle East experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience with an international engineering consultancy

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- Full-Time Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage
