Senior Project Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a senior project engineer with strong expertise in high-voltage systems to join a major energy and infrastructure project in Qatar. This role is pivotal in delivering engineering excellence across project stages, ensuring technical integrity, compliance with international standards, and on-time delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate high-voltage engineering activities for assigned projects.
• Review and validate contractor subcontractor deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications and project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on design, construction, testing, and commissioning of HV systems.
• Oversee project interfaces with procurement, construction, and operations teams.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout all project phases.
• Monitor project schedules and progress, resolving issues and mitigating risks.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations for management.

Qualifications & experience:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
• 10+ years of engineering experience, with significant exposure to high-voltage systems (transmission, substations, switchgear, etc.).
• Proven experience in project execution within oil & gas, utilities, or large infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of international HV standards and best practices.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Previous Middle East project experience is an advantage.
