Senior Project Manager (Rail Systems) - Qatar

Linum Consult’s client is major consultancy operating in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with an established background in Railway Systems to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Defining the project scope, goals and deliverables to deliver the company’s objectives
• Liaising with project stakeholders and suppliers on an ongoing basis and keeping them aware of progress or delays and assisting in finding resolutions
• Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team (the client, PMCs, Contractors, etc.)
• Administering the delivery of the project and ensuring that deadlines are met and the work progress meets the project plan
• Liaising with the Project Controls Manager to develop a work schedule for assigning resources to the activities required to complete the project
• Supporting the tendering process for the selection of related M&E works’ contractors
• Assisting the Project Director to prepare the budget for the project

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master’s degree qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with a project management qualification such as PMP, PgMP, or MSP
• At least 12 years’ experience, with 5 years within the railway industry working for large consultancies or end clients
• Strong technical knowledge of railway systems (i.e. signalling, telecom, rolling stock, SCADA, etc.)
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East is preferable
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and general IT skills
