Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

Responsible for the budget planning and supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the MoM.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor shall oversee the overall PMDD budgeting preparation, management, and monitoring processes.

• Perform financial analysis, reporting and management activities.
• Reviewing monitoring, and managing budgets.
• Generate financial reports related to budgets and ensure that the reports are prepared and delivered on time.
• Review annual budgets and recommend any changes if needed.
• Preparation and update of elemental and detail cost plans.
• Cost monitoring and reporting.
• Provide Quantity Surveying support related to the projects.
• Provide assistance in verifying claims, payments, variations, addendum, extension of time contractual issues in accordance with MoM policies and guidelines for projects.
• Provide support to the Project Managers, amongst others, where required, on costs and contractual matters.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• B. Sc in Quantity Surveying.
• MRICS or MAIQS professional qualification.
• Minimum 15 years post graduate experience in quantity surveying.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
