Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a reputable international engineering consultancy with strong global presence. They have an urgent requirement for Chartered SQS in Doha, Qatar to work on large scale infrastructure projects that include roads and highways projects across the region.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the Quantity Surveying team
- Manage the monthly internal reporting
- Conduct cost and value forecasting
- Maintain good relationship with Clients and representatives
- Resolve any commercial issues with Client
- Manage pricing and recovery as well as supply chain procurement and management
- Maximise opportunity from contractual or commercial issues
- Investigation of areas to improve margin among the qualities such individuals must possess are strong commercial awareness, strong client liaison skills, project management and team leadership. They also need an extensive understanding of the construction industry, flexibility and a talent for negotiation

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying is essential
- Must have MRICS/MCIOB/other further educational qualification
- Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience
- Experience in working on large roads/highways projects is essential
- Must understand FIDIC contracts
