Your new role, what's involved?
• Directs, manages and monitors the site supervision related to road and associated works including road layers, road's assets, traffic signals, traffic Diversions to enable construction and road furniture.
• Signing off (approval or otherwise rejection) of the Inspection Requests for Roadworks raised by the Contractor.
• Ownership of Contractor's Technical Queries (TQs), RFIs, approval of IFCs and shop drawings coordination with the relevant disciplines within supervision team and approving responses with solutions to the site issues.
• Coordinate direct activities with the other discipline RE's to maintain consistency and integrity in the overall construction.
• Responsible for reviewing all shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, any requests for info relating to roads and associated works.
• Full Ownership of resolution on site related issues during construction and post-construction.
• Manage and Maintain the team of Assistant Resident Engineers, Site Inspectors, surveyors and CAD draftsmen for their routine daily activities and reports
• Supervise the Contractor's road team on scheduling and application of resources in all aspects.
• Directs, assists and monitors the performance of the Road construction team working on the construction of the road work and associated works including the site engineers, the work inspectors
• and the surveyors.
• Coordinate with Client/PMC, the Contractor and related concerned authorities. MOI, ROMD, BC and TDP office and other project stakeholders.
• Advise on contractual and construction matters regarding road and associated works, installations, traffic diversions, road's furniture and other related works.
• Supervise, review, monitor, and report on the periodic progress of the road and associated works.
• Convene and chair regular site meetings about issues related to road work
• Acts positively and participates in all health and safety issues at the site, as required by the Senior Resident Engineer, and the Project Safety Representative.
• Comply with safety, health, and risk management requirements.
• Provide all necessary on-site direction, decisions, and issue indications concerning roadworks, utilities, and other related activities.
• Supervision of execution of Asphalt layers, CBM Sub/Road base Subgrade works.
• Asphalt mix design compliance, testing, and LSA certification, troubleshooting & coordination to and from Asphalt plants for production.
• Implementation of Method Statements & ITPs for various pavement layers.
• Assisting QSD/PWA HPD/ANAS Pavement Audits to enhance the level of QA/QC objectives of PWA Expressway Program.
• Review schedule of daily/weekly/3 month look ahead from the Contractor, review and liaise with suppliers/procurement and all concerned.
• Review NCRs/QAs issued and provides technical guidance to the Contractor to submit the Corrective
• Action Plan and Corrective Action Summary for review of PWA and close out.
• Assist QSD/HPD during their regular audit process of pavement layers on construction practices, materials, plants and supervision.
• Asphalt mix design compliance, testing and LSA certification, trouble shooting & coordination to and from Asphalt plants for production.
• Implementation of Method Statements & ITPs for various pavement layers.

Requirements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
• Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree in Civil
• Minimum 20 years' post grad experience.
• At least 7 years in a similar role dealing with Traffic & Transportation aspects of major projects.
• MMUP registered or at least have everything in place to register ASAP.
