Senior Stylist/Colorist

Description
This role is responsible to perform hair services to the highest standards, building a loyal clientele base, achieving both service and retail targets and supporting the salon management and team in the day to day running of the business. To undertake assessment and training of junior stylists/colorist and new recruits .

Requirements

Requirements
- Professionally recognized qualification NVQ or equivalent in hairdressing.

Desirable:
- Documented professional development over your career.
- Certified training with any of the major providers such as L'Oreal.
- Minimum 5-7 years shop floor and column generating experience in a professional salon.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering customer excellence.
- Experience of supervising staff in a salon setting
- Experience of training and assessing
- Ability to work in areas such as session work, shows, competitions, seminars etc.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Sales-driven with the ability to achieve targets.
- Sales / retail ability or experience.
- Ability to work cohesively with other employees as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be flexible and prepared to work evenings weekends and national public holidays.
- Must adhere to salon standards of exceptional personal grooming, representing the Urban Retreat brand to the highest of standards
- Enjoy working in highly competitive, fast-paced environment.
- Conversant in languages other than English is desirable.
