Job description / Role
WSP |Parsons Brinckerhoff is looking to recruit Substation Engineers for our Power Transmission projects in Qatar.
The candidate shall be responsible for - Installation, testing and commissioning of substation equipment such as HV, MV and LV switchgear, Transformers, Reactors, capacitor banks, DC system, UPS system, Lighting and small power and earthing system.
- Preparation and review of site Test procedures
- Controlling the procedures of works to comply with the tender specifications and general contract conditions for substation equipment such as HV, MV and LV switchgear, Transformers, Reactors, , capacitor banks, DC system, UPS System, Lighting and small power, earthing system.
- Checking for prerequisites for start of substation equipment installation and testing works.
- Supervision of substation equipment typical installation works.
- Inspection and testing of substation equipment.
- Arranging and maintaining site test reports by contractor that are witnessed at site.
- Reporting all non-conformities at site to contractor and informing client accordingly
Requirements
We would like to hear from degree qualified Electrical Engineers with minimum 10 years of substation experience in major Power transmission works.
