Senior System Support Engineer

Job Objective
This role is for a Senior System Support Engineer who will ensure the compliance cif computer rooms and other related ICT infrastructures to regulations, implement the preventive maintenance of automation equipment in the petrol stations, improve the ICT infrastructure support operation by developing appropriate policies and procedures

Job Requirements
Senior system support engineer with at least 10-12 years' experience in maintaining the computer rooms, including cable management and related infrastructures. He'll coordinate with the contractors and other departments concerning JCT concerns in the maintenance and installation of new stations. In addition, he will be responsible for the preventive maintenance of automation equipment in the station. Knowledge in developing the process, policies, and procedures of ICT operations is an advantage.

Job Description/ Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for the maintenance of cables and cabinets in the computer rooms of remote sites.
• Operate, monitor, control, maintain, and respond to abnormal or unexpected conditions in facilities systems and coordinate with concerned departments.
• Act as technical liaison for the hardware operations team
• Participate in the monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all automation hardware and software.
• Deploy new computer rooms infrastructure support, deliver cabinets upgrades, cable and access management, and other projects as required.
• Develop processes to transform infrastructure operations into policies and procedures
• Provide operational and maintenance insights into the design review process.
• Maintain and control all related requirements and documents to audits.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must have bachelor's degree in information technology, electronic or electrical engineering

Minimum Experience:
• 10-12 years or more demonstrated experience in building, designing, and maintaining computer rooms and data centers.
• Experience in the data centre. ICT facilities infrastructure operation, and maintenance

Certifications:
• Certified CCNA or CompTIA Network+ {Preferable)
• Technical certification in fuel dispensers, ATG and site controllers from Gilbarco or Wayne is an advantage

Job Specific Skills:
• Strong knowledge and experience in computer hardware, security, and network operations
• In addition, knowledge of retail and forecourt automation systems and hardware is an advantage.
• Engineering experience in planning for computer rooms growth and expansion
• Knowledge of ICT standards and strong technical writing skills
• Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a computer room environment, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, POU units
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on these systems.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, holidays, and on shift-based schedules
• Excellent physical health with no pre-existing chronic medical conditions.
• Ability to communicate in English
• License to drive in Qatar

Candidates with Driving license and petrol station experience in the Middle East.
