Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Working for a European company, the Senior Systems Engineer will work as part of the Repair and Maintenance team for Security systems at the International Airport.

They will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of ELV security systems such as Ground/Marine Surveillance Radars, Thermal Cameras, Under Vehicle Scanners, Bollards and Arm Barriers, Fiber Optic Fence and PSIM.

Special requirements
Previous Experience in one of the following Systems:
• Ground Radars (FLIR)
• Marine Radars (Raytheon)
• Under Vehicle Scanners (Gatekeeper)
• Fiber Optic Fence (FFT)
• Bollards / HPU (ATG)
• PSIM

His/her responsibilities include
• Prepare Engineering Documents/Reports
• Subject Matter Expert in PIDS systems
• Monitor System performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Liaise with vendors and other parties for problem resolution
• Attend weekly meeting with the client whenever required
• Ensure work is completed as planned o Performs troubleshooting of hardware, tools and applications problems, and monitoring systems, and provides support to end users by effectively working incidents.
• Fully document and communicate incidents for shift-handoff reports o Provide Level 2 technical assistance and support, and resolve problems
• Escalate to 3rd party vendors when necessary and follow up
• Generate FORs upon completion of any corrective work
• Assists in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
• On site presence for HW and SW repair, systems configuration, SW updates etc (on Call)
• Prepare Shift/Daily/Monthly Reports
• Ensures compliance with company's quality policies and procedures for all activities under his responsibility
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics/Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering
• Proven working experience of Eight years minimum in ELV security systems
• Based in Doha with available NOC
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and work expertly
• Possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills
• Good Communication Skills
• Strong technical writing skills to develop system documentation
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer contact and analytical skills.
• Flexible – Working Schedule: Shifts – 6 days a week
• Safety aware and knowledgeable of large infrastructure projects safety requirements.

Preferred but not essential
• MMUP certified
• Certified by one of the following Vendors:
- FLIR/Raytheon/Gatekeeper/FFT/ATG
