Job description / Role
Job Purpose
Perform variety of technical duties in support of Technical Services Group which includes review, input, analysis, retrieval, manipulation and presentation of technical data with the necessary associated operation of PC equipment and software. Prepares activity reports, presentation materials as directed and maintains data bases, office files and records.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
• Perform a variety of standard and specialized technical activities including data gathering, validation, inputting and retrieving/presenting of data as required by the department to produce tabulations, plots, histograms, drawings, presentation materials and summary reports.
• Assists Section Heads and Engineers in the use of various sophisticated computer programs/packages and manipulating data according to established procedures and programs to obtain easily understandable and high quality results.
• Provides full technical support in the use of PC based programs such as Microsoft Word, spreadsheets (Excel), database (Access), drafting (Freelance and AutoCAD) and other technical application software.
• Maintain various computer data bases involving monthly oil/gas/water/GOR production, well test data and process summary data periodically updates.
• Maintains and ensures efficient working of a variety of data from these periodic surveys such as well pressure and productivity, which form an imperative part of production and facilities management.
Key Job Accountabilities - II
• Utilizes technical software’s such as EMERAUDE, SPHAIR, PROSPER in liaison with Engineers and Specialists in providing inputs and generating reports as well as flowcharts and presentation to the management.
• Assists in collection of routine field information and special test data.
• Contributes to editing and compilation of the Group’s monthly and other periodic management reports.
• Provides technical support to the Department in the preparation of various presentations involving production of viewgraphs and handouts, and arranging presentation aids.
Requirements:
Qualifications
• Secondary school (12 years) formal education.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
• 6 years’ experience as a technical assistance in appropriate Engineering activities with experience in personal computer and statistical applications with relevant data gathering, processing and presentation activities.
• Ability to maintain accuracy in work is an important requirement.
