Senior Utilities Engineer

Job description / Role

* Experience in the design and supervision of the installation of Infrastructure wet and dry utilities.
* Experience includes managing, reviewing, and designing infrastructure projects, particularly in the planning and preparation of Concept, Preliminary, and Detailed Designs for Wet Utilities (Surface Water Drainage, Infiltration Drainage systems, Ground Water and Stormwater management strategies, foul water drainage systems, potable water & TSE) networks, including hydraulic modeling of several projects in Qatar.
* Responsibilities include but are not limited to reviewing design submittals, managing relevant stakeholders, and any project interfacing with the project.
* Ability to resolve technical issues and clashes during the design development process with other stakeholders.
* Experience in dealing with authorities for cases involving departure from standards (i.e. sub-standard design).
* Review and recommend samples, Design Details, Work Procedure, Method Statements, Schedules, Programs etc.
* Experience with High voltage & extra High voltage networks
* Specialized in the design of LV & MV schemes
* Familiar with Qatar Transmission Grid Code and its requirements
* Familiar with Kahramaa rules and regulations and their internal processes with hands on experience in coordinating with Kahramaa stakeholders on technical matters for approvals.
* Experience in planning, designing and optimizing electrical requirements of plot subdivisions in line with local codes & standards.
* Familiar with relevant software for design of wet utilities.

* Engineering Graduate preferably with a Master’s degree in a specific Utility.
* MME Registered Engineer – Grade A, is preferred.
* Knowledge of construction supervision services .
* Understanding of international engineering standards and codes .
* Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Strong communication skills .
* Good planning and organization skills.
* Strong attention to details.
* Strong time management skills.
* Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
