Services Specialist - On Site Services

Role Summary:

All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering.
Including Condition Monitoring for Transmission and Distribution Network.

Essential Responsibilities:

All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities able to be performed at customer site. Includes onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, generator diagnostics. Major contribution to the development of an operational year plan for own department activities of the team. Suggests improvements in products, processes and procedures. Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues. Targeted clients. Works on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks. Some latitude to deviate from those conditions.

Site Team Leader:

Minimum Qualifications:

- 4 year Full time B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution, university or college acceptable to KM.

Minimum Experience and skills:

- A total of at least Five (08) years' experience in site experience in the MV/HV Transmission/Distribution Network
- Having sound experience on MV switchgears, RMUs and Distribution Transformers (oil and dry), Feeder pillars
- Certification as certified oil sampler for power/distribution transformers from an internationally recognized and Kahramaa approved oil analysis laboratory
- Certification on Infrared Thermography from a recognized training provider
- Certification on Partial discharge diagnosis from a recognized training provider
- Certification in Asset management from a recognized organization having similar experience in the asset management fields
- EHS Certifications from a recognized institute or training provider
- First Aid and Fire warden training certifications from an authorized training provider
- Conversant with all aspects of safety with high voltage installations.
- Proficiency in MS-Office and Computer and use of digital data logging apps in tablet devices
- Proficiency in English and other local languages (preferable)
- Able to lead other team members
- Able to communicate well
- Must have good reporting skills

Responsibilities:

- Receive Safety Document from Kahramaa for the work and access to substations
- Responsible for executing work as per the plan.
- Has proficiency and sound knowledge of all condition monitoring techniques applicable for the contract
- Supervision of the site crew and ensure that work is carried out as per approved method statement
- Perform site EHS risk assessment and tool box talk prior to work at each substation.
- Ensure prevention of damage to plant & equipment of KM occasioned by Contractor's work.
- Coordination and communication with Kahramaa control center
- Review site works planning with Project Engineer
- Update his team members for site works planning
- Data collection at site on digital applications on IPADs/other tablet devices
- Site visual inspections and capturing photos.
- Coordinate with testing engineers on measurement results
- In case of abnormalities in results, prepare urgent reports to Alert Kahramaa
- Define assembly point for each zone
- Coordinate with all team members for assembly at MUSTER point in morning at agreed time.
- Ensure calibration of tools/test equipment of the team
- Responsible to maintain quality of site inspection data

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or college with at least 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Candidate having LOA (Limitation of Access) from Kahramaa and Qatari Driving License shall be preferred.
